Employee Health and Wellness

The mission of the UNK Employee Health and Wellness Program is to provide an organized program intended to assist employees in making positive voluntary behavior changes.  Reducing health risks and enhancing individual morality will create a positive, health work environment and community.

Holiday Weight Management Program

The average American will consume more than 4,500 calories and 229 grams of fat on Thanksgiving Day alone, according to the Caloric Control Council. Surprisingly, most of these calories come from the all-day snacking in front of the TV while watching parades and sporting events.

Monday, November 23rd – Monday, January 4th

Program Rules:

    • Employee Health & Wellness has designed a point system and tracking form. All participants will weigh- in at the start of the program and during the last week of the program.

    • The top three point leaders will be able to choose 1 of the following prizes:

1.    Nike+ Sportband
2.    Downloadable: Omron HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer
3.    Garmin Forerunner 305 GPS Receiver With Heart Rate Monitor

You will earn points each week for tracking the “right behaviors for maintaining weight”.
